Background

In June 2021, RDA Orana was appointed as the consultant to work with Walgett Shire Council to implement the Collarenebri Economic Development Program.

The overarching goal of the project is to enhance capacity and connection in the Collarenebri community achieved through the creation and development of local strengths and opportunities.

This project will 

• Facilitate the establishment of a Collarenebri Community  Reference Group that will function as a steering group to the project and  provide ongoing  progress for the Collarenebri community. 
• Determine the feasibility of ideas and identify opportunities for growth, employment and training in the community.
• Provide business and community engagement, workshops to support  further development of 3 business cases
• Develop a Community Economic Development Plan, a key deliverable for this project

Community and stakeholder engagement seek to inform, and foster relationship development and participation, and optimise the overall success of the project outcomes as it develops. 

RDA Orana will work with the Collarenebri community to develop a Master Plan of the needs of the region into the future.
